Technical Lead - Media Services - JS-1311

A Jersey City, NJ client has an immediate need for Technical Lead - Media Services.

Candidate will perform Media Services feasibility studies. Write Media Services functional and design specifications. Manage offshore development of Media Services functionality. Work with SQA to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate. Implement Media Services applications. At least 3 years experience in a technical lead role. At least 5 years experience working as a senior software engineer. Experience managing offshore development. Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA/SCM tools. Experiences' working with SQA to develop tests and plans remediations. Demonstrated ability to produce functional and design specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. Ability to manage software interfaces and other inter-system dependencies. Experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. Java/J2EE programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. C/C language programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. Recent expertise in VoIP telephony, SIP expertise. Experience in high performance application development. Experience with LAMP technologies. Fluency in XML, Knowledge of media server protocols (MSML, MSCML). VoIP systems, MYSQL database, database access controls, and secure data replication over SSL. Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
