Technical Lead SIP Services - JS-1320

A Jersey City, NJ Client has an immediate need for a Technical Lead SIP Services.

Candidate will perform SIP Services feasibility studies. Write SIP Services functional and design specifications. Manage off shore development of SIP Services functionality. Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate. Implement SIP Services. At least 3 years experience in a technical lead role. At least 5 years experience working as a senior software engineer. Experience managing offshore development. Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. Experience working with SQA to develop tests and plan remediations. Demonstrated ability to produce functional and design specifications with minimal supervision, attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. Demonstrated ability to manage software interfaces and other inter-system dependencies. Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. Java/J2EE language programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. C/C language programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. Recent experience in VoIP telephony. Expertise in the area of SIP services, SIP routing and SIP proxy/B2BUA. Experience in high performance application development. Experience building distributed and highly available solutions. Experience with LAMP technologies, XML and knowledge of and experience with open-source SIP infrastructures. Understanding of secure software development practices. Knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, and security. Experience in security, including security of networks, servers, and VoIP systems. Experience with MYSQL database, database access controls, secure data replication over SSL. Experience in IP and network protocols and architectures.
