Assignment Capsule
As a Technology Lead you will: develop an understanding of Humana's business needs and translate those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions. You will partner with other associates to analyze, design, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes.

  • Agile development working as a Tech Lead on a Scrum Team
  • Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution
  • Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of Oracle based applications
  • Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff
  • Develop enhancements, resolve issues, coordinate testing of statement releases and oversee regular production efforts including data extracts, data warehouse feeds and printing.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Visual Studio Team System 2008
  • ASP.NET 3.5 (C#) -- mainly web application development
  • Web Services -- WCF, WWF, Ajax-Enabled, SOAP -- (SOA)
  • SQLServer 2005 (SSIS)
  • NCache -- session state management
  • K2 blackpearl or Metastorm (workflow within app) -- TBD; Humana leaning towards K2
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Subversion (SVN)-- version control
  • Microsoft's UIP Block (MVC)
  • UML (class, sequence diags, etc...)
  • Microsoft's Data Access Application Block (DAAB)
  • Log4Net -- application logging
  • Code build / deployment methods (eg ANT)


Role Desirables
  • Sandcastle (NDoc / code documentation)
  • Silverlight 2.0 (toolkit and tools for VS2008)
  • BizTalk Server (BTS) 2006 (App-to-App workflow)
  • JSON (javascript object notation)
  • Linq (language integrated query)
  • Sparx Enterprise Architect -- application modeling tool
  • Fair Isaac Blaze -- business rules development
  • ClassApp's SelectSurvey (possible assessment tool)
  • Application Security (role-based) Principal, Identity, etc...
  • .NET state / cache management


Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Service & Information Officer.
