Description
- Define project charters, project planning, project scoping, and project delivery, and provide project leadership and mentoring to IT staff/project team. Strong background of software development methodology and s/w engineering projects. Accountable and responsible for overseeing the entire software development life cycle and project delivery.
- Provide project leadership on multiple projects simultaneously. Facilitate and Participate in technical / business discussions, requirements gathering sessions / JAD sessions. Manage diverse project teams at both on-shore and off-shore.
- Provide project estimates, manage project risks, release planning, provide quality assurance guidance and quality planning for the project, testing and support UAT.
- Work closely with business or HP peers on various projects and manage project communication, issues escalation, approvals, and deliverables traceability and project metrics. Provide domain expertise in applications, business processes and project management. Contribute and improve project management methodology and processes.
- Creates project charter and facilitate creating various project deliverables and develop the conceptual design and/or technical design for multiple projects concurrently. Maintains issue logs, create risk assessment and mitigation plan as required. Facilitates project meetings with IT and business. Facilitates technical discussions and provide inputs, Manage project communication and project quality.
- Manages and mentors diverse project team/s to deliver successful projects. Produce high quality project deliverables.
- Identifies project management process improvements and deliver.
- Hands-on code review/development/engineering or delivery capability and conducting peer review of other staff (internal and contract) to ensure and maintain high standards and quality.
- Remains current with latest project management / technology trends and developments. Acts an evangelist to project delivery teams/groups.
- Sox compliant deliveries and compliance to Company architectural standard.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Bachelor-s degree in computer science, computer engineering or information systems. Other degrees will be accepted with requisite experience.
- Master-s degree in any discipline.
- PMI PMP certification.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in multiple technology environments.
- At least 5 years leading development teams onshore and offshore.
- Previous experience acting as a technical PM.
- Peer Review of other developers/project team members. Please note that this will be done on an indirect reporting relationship.
