The Disney Online Networks Technical Producer is responsible for producing, managing, creating and maintaining the technical elements of all product sites and pages for the Disney Online Networks Team. This position serves as a bridge between engineering, design, content development, marketing, advertising and quality assurance groups as needed. The Technical Producer is responsible for providing consistent, timely, well-organized and clear direction in the production of the home page, neighborhood pages, content streaming, and special projects throughout the year.

Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Work under direction of the Senior Management to produce, manage, create and maintain the technical components and templates of product sites and pages for the Disney.com Networks Team.
  • Work in conjunction with the Home, Neighborhood, and Channel Pages (HNC) Producer to serve in a leadership position to provide consistent, timely, well organized and clear direction in the production of the HNC family of sites.
  • Work with Engineering, Rich Media Research, Business Systems and TechOps to develop advanced solutions where needed for ad serving, which may include (but is not limited to) providing guidance and feedback to Technical Operations in regards to synchronization of the Dev/QA/live site environments, serving of multiple Flash elements, Rich Media opportunities, etc.
  • Support production, QA, Business Systems, Ad Sales and Sales Programs for Advertising-related production issues.
  • Continue professional development and skill set improvements towards improving the position's impact in these responsibilities.Perform maintenance and operations on existing and future flash applications

    Specific tasks will include:
  • Knowledge and professional experience with the Internet and the World Wide Web.
  • Expert-level HTML coding skills (**without using a WYSIWYG editor**)
  • Experience with Flash MX required. Intermediate-level Flash ActionScript required.
  • Expert-level programming with the ability to create Web sites that use dynamically generated content is mandatory. Experience with GO Publish preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise level Web content management software is mandatory. Experience with Interwoven Teamsite publishing preferred.
  • Expert-level JavaScript coding skills
  • Experience with Java programming.
  • Experience with DHTML required.
  • Must be able to correctly estimate the time and effort needed to perform a task, able to meet deadlines with excellent problem-identification and reporting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and written skills, ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Experience performing programmatic troubleshooting or code manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Experience with design patterns/object oriented programming techniques

  • Exposure to web services
  • Macromedia Flex experience

    Qualifications:
  • College degree required and equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3-5-years experience managing/creating interactive content,
  • Experience troubleshooting code required
