Decription:

Coordinate and manages complex, cross-functional internet-based project plans working with assigned multiple HSBC Group business units and divisions and multiple IT divisions within regional and global space. Working closely with e-Delivery management and appropriate global business units, assist in the coordination, planning, implementation of regional and global Internet solutions. Responsibilities will include working with the global business units to refine requirements, develop feasibility studies including determining technical options and costs. Manage complex IT infrastructure projects on a small to large scale, including budget expectations. Ensure projects are managed according to Group RBPM process, identifying and managing issues/roadblocks to the completion of delivery efficiently. Ensure project management, compliance and regulatory standards are followed at all times and that projects are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner. Ensure operational risk issues are identified and pro-actively managed to minimize risk for the Company. Work closely with IT Development units to ensure development participation is according to project expectations, and assurance communications are open.



Work with infrastructure management and assigned leads to prioritize and develop plans that reflect resource availability and customer expectations. Serve as an infrastructure planning consultant to other areas of the Group as required providing recommendations and options for the technology implementations. Develop solid working regional and local relationships with assigned customer segments and insure high quality of service and delivery. Work with other HSBC IT departments to ensure, the Company is focused on the customer and providing a high standard of service to assigned customer segments. Identify enhancement opportunities for the Internet delivery channel of assigned businesses to respond to changing market, customer service and technological conditions. Research alternatives; work with business units to prepare necessary business cases for management approval. Complete other related duties as assigned, provide management direction to foster effective selection, development and reward of subordinates while contributing to initiatives in support of the Company’s Diversity programs.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Requirements:
This position requires an individual with:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with major or minor in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.

  • Minimum of ten years progressive experience in communications and/or management assignments.

  • A working knowledge of web infrastructure technologies. Bachelor’s degree in business or technology
  • A minimum of five to seven years proven and progressive project management experience or equivalent
  • Project management certification preferred
  • Have strong project management, planning, organizational, time-management and written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong (lateral and vertical) cognitive skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and experience with development and implementation of Internet-related systems are required for this position.
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment with a strong customer focus
  • Equipped to work with various departments and individuals at a variety of levels within the HTSU & HSBC Group organization to meet established deadlines
  • Must be responsive and demonstrate strong initiative and must have the ability to deal with multiple, changing priorities
  • Must be up to date on Internet trends within the financial services industry
  • Have a strong understanding of technical development processes and methodologies; as well as a strong business focus
