Technical Project Manager

Job Description
This person would serve as the technical project manager for multiple technology initiatives, as well as assist overall project manager as needed. Duties will include managing client, contractor, and G&B resources. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge, in addition to project management experience and will be comfortable interacting with both business and technical resources. The candidate will need to effectively work remotely and independently with little guidance while providing guidance to a team and providing oversight to ensure adherence to a governance process.

The duties may include:

• Researching COTS products and presenting results and guidance on choosing the software selection
• Report to FASTAR management
• Prepare status reports
• Prepare and deliver presentations and findings
• Implementation planning
• Business analysis
• Creation and maintenance of project plans
• Drafting of project documentation and driving approval of documents
• Representing the team in client meetings
• Project management tasks

Knowledge in the following areas may aid in the management of initiatives: single sign-on; workflow (Appian, in particular); enterprise search; electronic signature

REQUIRED:
Project management knowledge and experience; governance process development and oversight; self starter; work independently with little direction; work remotely and effectively; good overall technical knowledge; business analyst experience; product research/selection experience; strongly PREFER government, HHS, or FDA experience
