Technical Sales Rep manages commercial and technical functions necessary to grow overall business position at custom segmented and targeted customers within designated regional territory. Responsible for coordination and oversight of all PolyOne activity associated with the support and growth of accounts within region.

Job Essentials:

-Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science/Chemistry or equivalent work experience
-3+ Years Experience
-Formulating experience in the area of PVC inks, plastisols, powder coatings and/or additives is preferred.
-5+ years Sales/Marketing experience dealing with large multi-layered, complicated customer base
-Professionally manages all commercial activity associated with the support and profitable growth at all current customers within assigned region.
-Acts as a consultant to customers to help them grow their business.
-Identifies and targets new accounts and uses sales funnel and strategic account planning to secure resources necessary to successfully gain new business
-Ability to prospect, or grow existing accounts by introducing new products will be critical, as well as applying appropriate product application development to help the customer understand how existing products can be applied to different applications.
-A strong technical background will enable the application of products to meet diverse customer specifications and requirements.
-Responsible for achieving revenue and material margin goals established for annual SR&F business plan.
-Strong sales skills will allow for business cases to be built that will align resources for timely closure.
-Continually defines the service proposition levels required for proper segmentation and the service support from PolyOne to accounts.
-Prepares a variety of reports (ex. monthly 90-day plans of critical operating tasks, forecast report of existing and newly closed accounts, itinerary and customer call/visit action plans.
-Attentive to all industry and competitive activity within their region and professional communicates this information within PolyOne.
-Develops a supportive and positive team attitude amongst those he/she works with internally. i.e. Customer Service Representatives, Technical Team, Business Managers, Finance, etc.
