Description
Sales/Marketing Technical Support
The candidate will be a key member of a Technical Service Team that provides technical support to customers and Millipore's sales organization via telephone/email/internet. The team provides technical advice regarding the proper use and performance of Millipore's Bioscience products, which include the following areas of focus: cell biology, molecular biology, and sample prep. Our customer base includes pharmaceutical and biotech companies, universities, hospitals, and government agencies.

Responsibilites include qualifying sales leads for distribution to field sales, handling complaints related to product quality and acting as a liason between the customer and appropriate internal group (R&D, marketing, manufacturing, etc.). In addition, the specialist will assist in the technical training of our sales force, travel to trade shows and customer sites, and participate in market-related projects.

Since members of this team are often Millipore's front line of communication, the ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a science related field is required. 1-3 years of laboratory experience is necessary. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and , is a plus; however the right candidate will be trained in those applications.
