Description
The Storage Project Manager (PM) position centers on leading the IT Storage Management Team. The successful candidate will research, evaluate, design and test SAN and mainframe storage technology solutions and recommend strategies based on corporate directions and needs. The PM must have experience in multi-terabyte SAN and large MVS environments, and must be highly knowledgeable of storage and configuration methodologies. The PM champions the Storage Plan and manages the installation and maintenance of the storage management software by system programmers and systems engineers. The PM coordinate storage projects with other IT areas, reviews the performance of the storage staff, participates in the development of the annual expense budget for the Technical Services Department and participates in the development of annual capital requests to cover disk, tape, server and software purchases.

Experience/Skills
*Must have 7 years experience with Intel based servers (MS & Novell experience is a plus) & UNIX servers (IBM AIX experience is a plus) & software maintenance in a large IBM OS390/ZOS environment.
*Must have expert knowledge of SANs (Connectrix experience is a plus), large IBM storage platforms (IBM VTS is a plus) & storage monitoring tools
*Must have 7 years experience in disk management, tape management, storage capacity planning & Disaster Recovery. FDR, FDRSOS, SRDF & SAR experience is a plus.
