Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:Under general supervision, provides tier 1 and tier 2 sys admin support for client's applications, servers and hardware. Troubleshoot and supports UNIX, Microsoft, Cisco network systems and home grown applications. Receive incoming calls, create tickets, and address client needs in a manner conforming to service level specifications. Review the history of trouble ticket and determine next steps for issue resolution. Update trouble tickets as necessary. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Assist in simulation and recreation of user problems. May recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems. Participates as member of the 24x7 helpdesk and other technical groups to resolve OS and hardware problems. Analyzes performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability and/or usability.
