Publicly-traded video surveillance company in Long Island seeks a Technical Support Representative.

What you need to have:
- A+, Networking+, MCSE, or MCP desired
- Experience with CCTV, Electronics and PC (hardware/software) and Network Technology
- Strong IP networking background: TCP/IP, subnet masking, DHCP, and firewalls
- Working knowledge of routers, switches, sniffers, SAN, NAS, NAT
- Prior experience in a technical support/help desk role
- Ability to travel 25% of the time to customers' sites
What you will be doing- You will:
- Provide both pre and post sales Tier 3 level support, including installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and project management of video management systems, both on-site and via phone
- Provide telephone, fax, e-mail and on-site factory technical support and representation
- Conducting training sessions and workshops and assisting with product seminar and trade show set-up, teardown, and representation
- Perform site surveys and determine conceptual requirements of system designs and implement with the support of Project Engineering, Technical Support and Inside Sales groups
- Implementation of Beta programs including the installation, weekly evaluations and preparation of technical status reports
- Test and replicate hardware and software networking and application issues
