Description
CDI is looking for a Technical Support Representative to work with one of our EXCELLENT clients in Dallas.

The voice services technician will be responsible for the administration, installation and maintenance of Lucent/Avaya telephone and voice messaging systems. Provides rotating 24 hour on call support to internal customers on all telecom equipment failures while taking direct control and responsibility for service restoration. Provides detailed site surveys and coordination of all vendors and internal management to insure project implementation is completed on time and within budget. Represents the telecom group as the lead contact pertaining to telecom activities at technical meetings as well as external airport technical meetings. Performs shipping and receiving of equipment. The position requires overnight travel averaging approximately 4-5 days per month as well as periodic scheduled overnight and extended hours. Most travel is scheduled but the candidate is required to leave with little to no notice.

MUST possess at least 5 years recent installation and administration experience in Ayaya/Lucent electronic key systems such as Magix, Legend, Partner, IP office and associated voice messaging systems. Must have at least 5 years experience in the installation and termination of up to 100 pair cables on100 and 66 termination blocks. Must have strong project management skills and be able to lead small to medium sized projects. This role will require travel for extended periods of time.

Candidates with the following skills will be considered first- An Airline background and a basic understanding of airport operations and airline codes. Experience in Definity PBX programming and administration, Definity One-X, VOIP topology, MS Projects, Remedy, Definity Site administration and/or Avaya Site Administration and winSPM, Ayaya/Lucent Installation and Maintenance certifications and /or data networking.
