Description
Technical Trainer
Use your skills, experience and creativity to teach instructor-led courses and webinars and create self-directed CBTs. You'll teach clients and staff how to use our proprietary technology. You'll also teach non-technical courses and assist in coaching subject-matter experts who are learning to teach classes of their own. The position is ideally based in San Mateo, California; however working out of our New York City office will be considered. Some travel required.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Expertise in teaching across various delivery formats: instructor-led, webinar, blended, and self-paced training
- Familiarity with adult learning techniques
- Experience training external constituents (clients) and internal constituents (employees)

Required Skills/Experience:
- Ability to train clients and staff in a professional and engaging manner
- Ability to communicate "why" technical steps are useful instead of just "how" to do them
- Ability to facilitate interactivity
- Ability to learn technical topics quickly and independently
- Ability to work quickly and independently
- Ability to develop business relationships across diverse groups
- Must be able to produce work that is technically accurate and grammatically correct
- Must be highly skilled in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience writing instructional materials for various forms of delivery: instructor-led, webinar, blended, and self-paced training, a plus
- Experience with analytic (business intelligence) systems a plus
- Marketing experience, especially with large programs, a plus
- Knowledge of relational databases a plus
- Product management experience a plus

Note that a later-stage interviewing requirement for this position is to teach a 15-minute class to a small group of students. Details and scheduling to be discussed during interview.
