TECHNICAL WRITER - RESTON, VA



The qualified candidate will be supporting billable engagements to provide mentorship, advice, and guidance on the correct application of services, products, technological solutions or technique. They will design, develop and implement solutions by using standard methods, techniques and tolls. The candidate will provide leadership to junior consultants, including helping them to resovle routine problems.



Additional functions will be acting as the technical lead on small projects or portions of larger projects; building client relationships by interfacing with the client organization on the solution design; and reviewing for accuracy, the technical content of proposals that have been prepared by junior technical writers. This requires the incumbent to have a full, working knowledge of services, products, and technilogical solutions.



REQUIREMENTS:

The qualified candidate will be supporting documents including WCR's, Requirements, System Design, Unit Test Cases as well as AdHoc presentations and mods related to new work. In addition, the Technical Writer could take meeting minutes notes, help with RDM binders, help other groups with documentation and acts as a backup as requested.



The main focus on the Technical Writer should be engineering and as such, would be reporting to the Engineering Manager.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • 5 Years of experience utilizing the MS Office Suite and Visio creating technical documentation with limited input.


  • US Citizenship will be required to support this US Government contract and currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
