We have an immediate need for a Technical Writer

The M & T Company, a unit of Engineering Solutions Government Services Group, and a leader in providing our clients with high quality, cost effective engineering, design, and logistics services, is currently seeking Technical Writers to support our Department of Defense client

Description: These positions entail working on a project team providing logistics support services in support of Technical Manual development.
The selected candidates will perform technical writing, editing and revising of Army Technical Manuals (TMs).

The primary emphasis is on Army watercraft TMs classes -10, -12, -14 and -23 that describe the operation, maintenance and repair of Army watercraft at all levels of maintenance.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidates will have two years experience writing and editing of Army and/or Navy TMs, experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings for Army or Navy small boats, ability to determine illustrations needed for publication and to develop rough sketches to assist the illustrator.

Mastery of Microsoft Word, and familiarity with Military Documentation Standards (MILSTDS) also required.

Experience in Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development, working with Army and/or Navy small boats and knowledge of HM&E (Hull Mechanical and Electrical Equipment) desired. Substantial, verifiable experience in Army watercraft maintenance and training may be substituted for the technical writing experience.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Candidates must be able to work on a project team interfacing with customer personnel.
