Description
Resource 1 is in need of a Technical Writer for a 3 month contract to hire opportunity located in downtown Chicago, IL. The Technical Writer will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Working with developer's to gather and create documentation on electronic trading systems.
  • Developing external support documentation (ie Developer*s Guides, User Guides, Online Help, Checklists, Message Specifications)
  • Disseminating updates and necessary information to all necessary departments
  • Experience with RoboHelp X5 (Web Help and Oracle Help) required
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker required
  • Experience with FIX Protocol is preferred
  • Strong technical background and understanding of Internet-related technologies
  • Proven ownership of writing projects from research and editing stages through final distribution to clients
  • Writing and editing experience with established style guidelines
  • Ability to analyze and logically organize complex technical information
  • Experience with online publishing and content management applications
  • Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel)
