Description
This role is an essential component to the usability of our client's product. They are looking for someone who can put themselves in the position of a wide range of users and help them communicate complex topics.

Challenges include helping users from all technical backgrounds to successfully create and upload video products as well as more complex products, crafting a voice that balances the serious nature of business and life improvement content with a fun and energetic spirit, and working in a fast-paced startup experience.

An interest in and passion for usability is also appreciated as they have a start of the art usability lab and the right person will have a chance to be heavily involved.

You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoying rolling up your sleeves and making things happen quickly. You'll need to be tech savvy and appreciate working on cutting-edge internet technologies.

Specific Job Responsibilities

Write help content for end-users, content providers, and business affiliates.

Communicate complex topics relating to internet video streaming.

Accurately and concisely describe complex financial relationships.

Participate in the resolution of challenges in designing for a diverse user base.

Occasionally wear whatever hat is needed to get the job done.

Participate in our world-class usability engineering processes including a usability lab, eye tracker, and regular deployment of multivariate testing.

Experience/Skills
Minimum of 3 years professional experience and a relevant college degree or 5 years with a degree.
Exceptional written communication skills.
Expertise and experience in technical communication
Ability to understand and communicate to multiple roles and viewpoints within our complex ecosystem
Basic competence in HTML and web authoring tools

Desired Skills

Ability to use Photoshop, Fireworks, etc. for web graphic production
Passion for visualization and communication of complex technical information
Training in instructional design
Experience creating screen-casts and multimedia training software
Experience with localization of web applications
