Description
****SENIOR PROPOSAL WRITER****Talented, experienced proposal writer sought to increase sales to government-affiliated healthcare payor market.* Develop large-scale, customer-focused proposals (avg. 50 &#150; 400 pages) compliant with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by governmental healthcare entities* Manage resources of external Subject Matter Experts and fellow writers to meet established deadlines* Locate and assess potential bid opportunities using a variety of online resources* Create benefits-driven proposals containing key win themes and competitive distinctions* Research and write new content to address RFP requirements, including interviewing internal resources and developing dynamic content* Develop and maintain corporate proposal boilerplate, including proactively soliciting periodic updates to ensure currency* Oversee proposal process, including delegating as appropriate to leverage resources and achieve optimal results* Conceptualize and communicate to Art Director proposal graphic elements that convey approaches, communicate benefits, emphasize features, and differentiate from competitors* Work on behalf of a geographically dispersed team of approximately 40 internal clients Requirements and Qualifications:Mandatory Qualifications * Bachelor&#146;s degree required, with a major in English/Communications/Journalism/Marketing or similar preferred* 5 &#150; 10 years&#146; experience in a corporate writing/communications position writing proposals or grants to public sector entities* Excellent organization, writing, and editing capabilities, including special attention to grammar and style* Effective project management capabilities helpful, including establishing schedules, prioritizing, writing content, assigning tasks, and meeting deadlines* Attention to detail* Mastery of working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential; proposals are formatted with MS Word styles* Ability and willingness to travel on occasion for 3-5 days at a time during proposal development processes (travel requirement < 10%)* Ability to excel in fast-paced, deadline-oriented, details-driven environmentPreferred Qualifications * Experience in healthcare industry preferred* Effective interviewing and research abilities* Familiarity with MS Project and Visio ideal* Familiarity/exposure to SM&A and/or Shipley proposal development models helpful but not requireddf-tc
