Description

Royal Offering Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Technical Writer based in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Selected TechnicalWriter would be responsible for drafting Requests for Proposal (RFPs)to Technology Related RFPs and grant opportunities under the directionof OIT Management . Responsibilitieswould also include coordinating activities through the procurementprocess including compiling notes from Oral presentations, proposalevaluations, posting FAQs, etc working closely with the Business andTechnology Teams within DHS.

Other Responsibilities include:

TechnicalWriter is responsible for technical writing, formatting, editing,reviewing, publication support for all required documents- Meeting documents, Requirements documents, system documents, project documents, project closeout documents etc.

Mustbe able to work closely with technology and business teams andtranslate technical and functional requirements to well writtendocumentation.

Create, edit and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.

Researchestechnical and engineering information, including drawings, design andtest specifications, product prototypes, and interviews with subjectmatter experts.

Participate and lead group discussions to better understand the client s requirements.

Experienced in creating different types of user documentation reference manuals, how-to guides, cheat sheets etc.

Revisingboilerplate text to meet project requirements- Writing and/or editingadditional documentation required to support the procurement orproposal process (eg, bidders conference materials, responses toquestions.)

Fosteringa strong working relationship and communication level with assignedproject teams, including IT staff, DHR management, Georgia TechnologyAuthority (GTA) representatives, program staff and other variousstakeholders in local and state government.

Organizematerial and complete writing assignment according to set standardsregarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

Reviewpublished materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope,format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.

  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel .

Qualifications

Completionof Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, InformationTechnology, Public Administration, Management Information Systems or arelated field from an accredited college or university and five years of IT experience that includes the following:

3-5 years of technical writing experience with process flows

Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and demonstrated ability to capture requirements accurately and objectively.

Strong Presentation development and writing skills. Adept in MS-Office Suite: MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint.

Experienced in creating flowcharts and project plans. Knowledge and experience with Visio, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Strong analytical skills. Must be able to use MS Excel, Access to analyze data.

Knowledge and experience with Process modeling tools.

Must be able to write clearly, concisely and within rigid schedules.

Strong written and verbal communications.

Preferredto have knowledge in Macromedia Dreamweaver. Familiarity with internettechnologies and experienced with other HTML tools.

1+ years of hands on experience facilitating user requirements sessions

Ability to work well in a team and as an independent self-starter

Priorwork experience in writing RFPs for Health and Human ServicesOrganizations and other public sector organizations is a plus.
