Overview
This individual will be developing and distributing data and reports necessary for the improvement and maintenance of service delivery throughout the organization. The focus of this position will include building metrics for new customers transitioning to IIM services, utilizing data to identify areas for improvement on existing accounts, and providing continuing support for current report delivery.
Responsibilities
Meet with internal customers (to include account executives, service delivery managers, etc.) to define their reporting requirements.
Review the contracts of new and existing accounts to build reports that meet all contractual requirements.
Follow current process to ensure delivery of and complete modifications to existing reports.
Consult with new accounts using the IIM tool to ensure that all metrics are defined correctly within the tool and all necessary data is being gathered by the service delivery process.
Respond to requests and build ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Identify possible data issues and investigate to root cause, including issues that are related to processes, tools, and data sources.
Work closely with Data Warehouse team to ensure all data needed is available.
Consult with IIM transition management team to help define standardized reports for new customers.
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access and the ability to quickly manipulate data with these tools.
Experience with Cognos, Business Objects, and/or Crystal Reports is a major plus.
Experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL developer a plus.
Basic understanding of SQL with a demonstrable knowledge of database structure and the ability to develop a more advanced understanding rapidly.
Previous experience building reports is a major plus. Previous programming experience and knowledge of programming logic is acceptable.
Understanding of IT Service Delivery processes, contractual language and common requirements, service level agreements, and tools.
Understanding of basic statistical and data analysis principles.
ITIL certification is a major plus.
Great communication skills are a necessity, as this position will involve helping our internal customers define their requirements and could include direct communication with major clients.
Initiative, great problem solving skills, and the ability to pick up new skills quickly using all available resources are absolutely essential to this position.
