Description
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, and maintains all radio broadcast equipment in XM facility, including broadcast consoles, CD/DVD players, Digital audio playback devices, computer based broadcast automation systems, and the satellite uplink facility
  • Reconfigures/upgrades/modifies broadcast systems when required
  • This position is based on shift work and applies to any one of the shifts that support the facilitys 24 hour a day operation and working of occasional overtime
  • Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
  • Maintenance of Klotz Audio Engine and Dalet Digital Media software
  • Non-Linear audio editing system maintenance (Mac O/S based system)
  • Operation, setup and maintenance of audio codecs


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no fixed supervisory responsibilities


Education and/or Experience

  • At least five years experience in a broadcast facility
  • SBE Certification preferred
  • A+ computer certification
  • Associates degree in Electronics or higher
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting fiber optic & CAT-5 based networks, Cisco switches, DVM, cable testers, and scopes
  • Customer Service experience, IT Help Desk or similar where direct contact with the customer is required
  • Telecommunications lines knowledge/experience (ISDN, T1, DS3)
