Description
Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing complex project activity throughout the project life cycle within any of Piper Jaffray's business functions. Typically works with senior business line management to formulate project scope. Develops and maintains project plans, defines project roles and responsibilities and provides verbal and written project status to project stakeholders. Manages project scope, project issues and projects risks, and ensures that contingency plans are in place. Works with the business users to ensure test approach is defined and test plans are in place and executed prior to project implementation. Ensures that all required project deliverables defined for the project are completed and facilitates post implementation project reviews. Interfaces with internal and external resources and fosters cooperation and involvement from project team members to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project in accordance with user needs. Manages a medium to large project team within a matrix organizational structure. Acts as a mentor to other staff resources on project management best practices within Piper Jaffray's project management guidelines.

Qualifications:

Eight or more years of project management related experience preferred. Financial industry experience a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or Technology required. Masters Degree preferred. PMP preferred.df-tc
