End User Technology Support Specialist (Exempt)

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical skills and experience on a variety of computing platforms. Experience with Windows 2003 & 2000 Server and Windows XP desktop OS preferred. Good knowledge of PC hardware (Dell, Compaq, IBM/Lenovo, HP) and peripherals required. Mastery of Windows user interface (Windows 95/98, NT, 2000 and XP) required. Experience with networks, SQL databases, Microsoft Exchange Server, client-server environments, mainframe systems, telephony, or video conferencing is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, top-notch troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks are essential. Bachelors degree required. Microsoft Certified Professional designation (MCPS/MCSE/MCSD) is a plus. Position will currently be located in West Palm Beach with travel to Miami, Tampa and Atlanta. Relocation will be required in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support to the regional offices of an investment research and management firm and remote office sales staff. Respond to employees questions regarding computer systems, phone problems and technical needs. Utilize existing IT management systems (Remedy, Service Requests, Change Control, etc.) to manage delivery of services. If necessary, coordinate resolution with vendors and ensure follow-up. (25%)
Perform network administration duties for a 135-node Windows XP network. Manage user accounts, e-mail accounts, remote access and regular system backups. Diagnose and resolve server problems. (15%)
Perform installation and maintenance of computers or computer-related hardware and software, telephony and telecommunications equipment. Move/reprogram computers or telephones as needed. Troubleshoot equipment usage as necessary. (20%)
Coordinate efforts with technology staff from other regional offices and the Global Enterprise Technology Services department. Act as liaison between the staff and these various groups. Communicate the technology needs of the Office for which based in, and offices for which you have responsibility to the appropriate parties keeping the Office Manager, Managing Director, NISM, and Director of EUT apprised of technical issues for the affected offices. (20%)
Stay apprised of new technologies and trends in the technology industry, with a view to providing more comprehensive technology-related services to the office. Act as a technology information resource for the staff and management. (10%)
Understand the evolving technology needs of the Private Client and ABII Group in the Southeast. Provide custom technology-based solutions for the office as needed. Provide training for staff on software/technology issues on a regular basis. (10%)
