Role: Technology Tech Architect
Assignment: z/OS Operating Systems Team, emphasis in Automated Operations
Location: Louisville, KY

Assignment Capsule
As a Technology tech architect you will: perform design and maintenance tasks including installation, customization, documentation, debugging and performance tuning on complex projects with system-wide ramifications. You will also act as an area expert on special projects, assisting with the adoption of new technology and creating and refining best-practices.

  • Provide primary support and maintenance for the OPS/MVS, SSM, and related products and environment
  • Provide maintenance and support for other ISV products in the z/OS environment
  • Be part on the oncall rotation for the z/OS operating systems environment
  • Provide insight for future efforts and support for daily activities based on assigned product responsibilities
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem determination in a complex environment

Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with OPS/MVS, SSM, and related automated operations technologies
  • Experience doing SMP/E installations and performing maintenance and support in a z/OS environment


Role Desirables
  • Experience with Automation Point
  • Working knowledge of Assembler, z/OS environment exits related to automated operations
  • StorageTek/SUN HSC and related software


Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
