Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Telecom Analyst to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Job Responsibilities:
The qualified Telecom Analyst filling this role plans and designs voice, data, video, and image telecommunications systems. Interfaces with other information systems management staff to coordinate telecommunications software, hardware and systems capabilities including client-server architectures. Plans and recommends changes to the telecommunications systems. Prepares cost estimates for current and proposed telecommunications activities. Confers with and advises on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods and the use of telecommunications.

The Analyst level provides advanced solutions to telecommunications installations and problems and participates in design and development of innovative, cost-effective solutions to customer problems. This level is usually assigned a portion of a telecommunications issue. Typically provides software/hardware support on systems, investigating, analyzing, and resolving problems on a variety of products. This is a second-level position, providing technical instruction to lower level technicians. Requires 3-5 years of progressive related experience in several products, systems or specialties. This may be any combination of related education and experience.

Typical Duties include:
  • Troubleshoots problems associated with telephone switches, PBX, or telephones. Also interfaces with third party vendors for product support on Interactive Voice Response, Call Accounting, CTI, and Voice Mail Systems. Maintains and repairs Interactive Voice Response (IVR).
  • Completes associate internal moves, adds or changes in a timely, efficient manner. May include software programming, cross connect changes, and hardware moves.
  • Responds to trouble calls as assigned by upper level Telecommunications associates.
  • Assists in major real estate moves for assigned locations. Reviews move list and does work to assure smooth move.
  • As assigned, contacts outside vendors and coordinates installation, maintenance, and upgrades.

    Required Skills:
  • Certification or 3 to5 years experience working on Nortel systems (Option 61/81) and Meridian Mail.
  • Complete cross connects and cable knowledge
  • Avaya working experience
