We have an exciting 12 month contract opportunity for a Technical Project Manager with Cable/Telecom experience with our large customer in the Atlanta/Alpharetta area. The selected candidate will develop detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers. Initiate plans, executes, and controls project efforts utilizing technological solutions. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration. Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks. Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures. sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes. Reports and Measures project progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation. Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status.
A minimum of 7 years of Technical Project Management experience is required. 7 years of Cable operations experience is also required. Experience as a facilitative leader able to manage team members at all levels and experience in successfully presenting ideas and concepts utilizing a variety of project management and presentation tools mapped to the targeted message and audience is needed. Demonstrated ability to systematically review project risks to accurately assess, counsel, and communicate corrective actions mitigating service delivery problems. You may spend a significant portion of time as an individual contributor performing assignments that require a higher level of experience or technical expertise than direct reports. You should have excellent customer interfacing skills, facilitation and teaming skills. You should have excellent written and oral communications skills and may travel 15-30%.
