We have an immediate need for a Telecom Cost Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a project opportunity for an experienced individual to provide analysis of and organization to our companys telecommunications costs. Telecommunications expense is a significant P&L cost, contracted to several regional and national telecommunications providers. We have multiple (30+) cost centers in our U.S. reporting structure, covering administrative departments and remote site locations The project is expected to last 4-6 months and will be performed under the guidance of 2-3 senior-level managers at the companys Alpharetta headquarters.

The tasks to be accomplished during the project period are:
? Analysis of the companys telecommunications contracts and matching contract pricing to monthly invoicing
? Analysis of telecommunications expense by department/site and development of monthly run rates for each department and site, according to contract pricing and utilization
? Auditing of circuit/service disconnect notifications and reconciliation to provider billing/credit memos
? Analysis and documentation of companys telecommunications department work flow and processes and making recommendations to management for process and resource improvement
? Identify critical issues/discrepancies, etc. to be resolved with telecommunications providers and provide appropriate assistance to company functional managers in the discussion/resolution process

Following are the must haves for a candidate to be considered for this project opportunity:
1. Five to ten years of business experience, in accounting, finance, operations, and/or P&L/cost analysis.
2. Five or more years experience in the telecommunications industry; specific familiarity with industry terminology, telecommunications contracts and pricing, and service level agreements; experience in TEM (telecommunications expense management) solutions, including outsourcing options, would be a significant plus
3. Experience in communicating with telecommunications providers in order to ask appropriate questions, request information, and address issues for resolution - all to be performed in a professional, results-driven manner
4. Extreme attention to detail; must be hands-on and have the ability to get hands dirty in the analysis/reconciliation processes
5. Above-average skills in Excel and Microsoft applications
6. Strong organizational communications skills; ability to work and communicate with multiple levels of employees/management within the companys structure
7. Live within a reasonable commuting distance (within 20 miles) of the companys Alpharetta headquarters; must commit to working eight hours a day, five days a week for the duration of the project
