Teradata DBA - TS 116

Mandatory Skills:
5 years experience as a Teradata DBA

Hands-on experience as Teradata DBA with in-depth understanding of designing, implementing, maintaining, managing, and performance tuning Teradata databases including BAR solution for backups.

Understanding and ability to communicate principles and design tradeoffs for a mix of Teradata databases, data warehouses, and pre-packaged software analytics

Ability to mentor and train others to be capable Teradata DBAs

Experience implementing, managing, and performance tuning any or all of the following software packages on Teradata platform preferred (not required)

Siebel

CRM Analytics

PeopleSoft

EPM Analytics

Hyperion Financial Manager (consolidation software)

Experience implementing and tuning DataStage ETL software preferred (not required)

Experience with Teradata's Manufacturing Logical Data Model preferred (not required)
Secondary Skills:

Duties:
Assist in design, implementation, management, and performance tuning of our new Teradata environment; mentor and train others to be capable Teradata DBAs; Mentor and train others in Teradata database design principles to help them understand tradeoffs in mixing Teradata databases with data warehouses and pre-packaged software analytics (such as Siebel and PeopleSoft)
