Description
Systemware Professional Services is now interviewing Automation Testers. The QA Engineer is responsible for testing and verifying software products prior to launch. This person is responsible for leading a project to completion. A QA Engineer must be able to create test plans, test cases, scopes, status reports, and post launch reports. As well as plan, design and code automation scripts.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES
? Work closely with development, project management, marketing and other groups
? Assists the QA Manager for each particular project in setting priorities, coordinating, and reporting of group activities. The QA Analyst is responsible for the daily activities of his/her project.
? Provides scopes, test plan, and test cases to the QA Manager and all QA team members involved in the project. Presents the test plans and test cases to the QA team.
? Participates in all code reviews pertaining to the project.
? Ensure that the development process is being followed and identify areas of risk to the business.
? Ensure usability and customer experience is covered in all test cases and test plans.
? Gather enhancements and bring them to marketing's attention for future projects.
? Identify production issues and verify customer's issues in a timely manner.
? Provide post launch recommendations for all projects.
? Able to justify the business reasons for each change or the business impact for each defect found.
? Able to do metrics like show the defect vs. fixed ratio or production defect vs. new defects introduced.
? Ability to regression/stress test the applications with any regression testing tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education (minimum required):
? BS or BA degree in MIS, CIS, or a related business field
Experience (minimum required):
? 5+ years Software QA Engineer experience
? 5+ years Software QA Analyst experience
? Knowledge of SQL and a programming language
? Experience with one or more of databases, Web E-commerce,
? Ability to express complex technical and non-technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
? Must be able to lead large and small projects. Be able to effectively make sound decisions based on business, technology, and QA guidelines.
? Must be able to use automation as part of the QA testing cycle. Either with reporting analysis, using, or launching, or of a tool.
? Must be able to understand marketing goals and relate them to customer experience.
? Must have automation and performance testing experience
