Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Performs corrective action, preventive action and identifies root cause analysis for systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.

Provide functional and technical expertise within a domain area, such as Diamond, AT2, Processes, Systems, Networking, Hardware, and/or Test Automation.

Contribute in establishing, revising and verifying quality standards, processes, and procedures for assigned projects.

Review and contribute to product requirements and design specifications during planning stages of software development life cycle.

Contribute to the integrity of the test plans, test data, test environment, and coordination with support areas for specific projects.

Develop appropriate test plans & test cases from working closely with developers and designers to ensure quality products are delivered to customers.

Evaluate and test new or modified programs and documentation by using various test methods.

Execute manual and automated tests, and report results as required.

Establish, setup, configure and maintain test environments as needed to test software.

Report identified defects in the software.

Work closely with developer.

Assist in design and development of automated tests as needed to ensure maximum test coverage of products.

Lead development team in testing effort of projects as assigned.

Automation script design and development using development techniques such as Object-Oriented design.

Coordinate with appropriate Engineers to evaluate automation alternatives and propose solutions.

Establish work estimates.

Compile, interpret, and present test results.

Evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate test tools.

Good problem solving/debugging skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May lead team in testing efforts of projects as assigned.
Train and mentor other QA team members to obtain cross-functional team environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience of combination of experience and education.
- Possess solid software engineering skills and must be capable of writing quality code.
- Experience with the following is required: Windows Operating Systems (2000, Server, XP), basic knowledge of DOS, TCP/IP
- 1 year experience using Visual Studio
- Strong scripting skills (e.g. PERL, C++, SQL)
- MS SQLServer and Database administration
- Network Administration and configuration
- PC Hardware troubleshooting and configuration
- MS Office/Outlook
- Experience with the following is required: Windows Operating Systems (2000, Server, XP), basic knowledge of DOS, TCP/IP

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in word processing software; spreadsheet software; accounting software and database software.
