Description
Due to growth, we have an immediate opening for a test engineer to join our team of engineers in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo community. Below is a description of the Test Engineer who will be responsible for the system level development of testing procedures for electronic and electrical systems on real-time embedded off-highway vehicle applications and components. The Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development, deployment and support of test systems for electronic products. Position includes high-level functions such as test planning, detailed system design and development of test software. The Test Engineer is required to review and interpret customer requirements and specifications and then develop and produce plans and procedures required by the customer. Primary functions of the Test Engineer include: Responsible for designing and developing test systems including test equipment and test software. Coordinate construction, integration, test, and delivery of systems. Document results and assist in problem root cause definition, resolution, and verification/validation of any issues found Key technical skills and qualifications desired are: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year accredited school Minimum 3 years experience within an electronic product test development and production environment Experience working with embedded systems running real-time operating systems Strong hardware oriented programming skills (C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, and/or TestStand) Strong PC skills Other desired skills are: Experience writing communication, data acquisition, and device control software Good written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge in software test tools and communication protocols Agricultural/Automotive background useful Minimal travel is required within the US and abroaddf-tc
