Work with cutting-edge technology at a leading Telecommunications Firm! Are you ready to be a Test Engineer with a leading Telecommunications Firm? Are you a self-starter with a desire for continuous learning? Then we have a position for you! In this role you will provide support for the AVPN Services prject on the new IOS-XR PE Cisco Platform. This position will require you to have both depth and breadth of knowledge in data networking and hands-on experience in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies and trouble-shooting and you must also have experience with MPLS VPN, E-BGP/I-BGP and OSPF/LDP, BFD and other control protocols. Hands-on knowledge of IP test sets (Agilent, Spirent or IXIA) and the ability to write tcl/tk and/or Pearl and/or Shell scripts and programs is all highly desired. Excellent troubleshooting skills and capable of sorting out complex data networking issues are key! You must also be an excellent communicator to calmly explain and rationalize issues and technical problems, while also being a fast learner and a versatile IP L3 test engineer capable of handling multiple complex projects and managing them by himself as well as to work effectively in a larger team. Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills are required. The perfect candidate will have a 4 Year BS CompSci or Telecom or BEE Degree and a Cisco CCNA and CCNP (CCIE is strongly desired). An MS in CS, Telecom, or related field is also a plus!
