Description
CRI is looking for a test engineer with a minimum of two years experience.

Work Arrangement: 2 months
Day shift.
40 hours/week.
Contract, length is indefinite.

Tasks include:

? Perform testing tasks that require planning, scheduling and testing to assure products meet design specifications.
? Apply test methodology, concepts and test types to project functional areas.
? Identify areas of the product where a focused test effort needs to be applied and will organize and write detailed test documentation to be executed by an outsource vendor.
? Create, maintain, and track defects in a Defect Database.
? Recommend improvements to existing quality assurance processes beyond current implementation.
? Perform ad-hoc testing to find critical test areas where further testing will produce defects.

Requirements include:

? Minimum two years testing experience.
? Prefer BS/BA degree in a technical discipline.
? Experience working with test vendors while quantifying success and performance by creating informative metrics.
? An understanding of testing standards/methodologies and/or software testing principles and test tools.
? Solid understanding of the Software Development Cycle.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills.
? Demonstration of good judgment and high professional standards.
? Ability to evaluate new software products/applications.

Preferred technical experience:

Aptitude with some or all of the following: C/C++, Java, VB, Perl, Batch/Shell scripting or other programming/scripting language.
Experience with the Internet-browsers, email, HTML, ASP, XML, Web servers (Apache, IIS, etc.), CGI, ISAPI.
Functional understanding of: Mac, Unix (Sun OS, HPUX), Windows, and/or DOS platforms.df-tc
