Position Description
May perform one or more of the following:

? Leads and participates in the activities of software applications testing
? Leads and participates in the testing, integration and ongoing support of computer programs for business applications
? Coordinates activities related to the testing, integration and support of software
? Conducts, and coordinates applications testing activities
? Maintains testing standards and program documentation requirements
? Reviews current status of system application testing and prepares recommendations for improvements
? Maintains the testing standards and toolset usage as needed to carry out testing efforts
? Develops, leads, and maintains test execution plans
? Develops, leads and maintains defect and test result analysis
? Coordinate testing efforts with a state agency

Functional Description:
In this role the candidate will work on issues where analysis of situation requires an in depth and detailed understanding of testing methodologies, evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of testing trends. Create and /or follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining testing solutions while delivering operational excellence. Develops and administers testing and product delivery schedules.

Has ongoing interaction with testing teams, developers, customers, and/or functional peer groups, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

They will lead the coordination of the activities of a team with responsibility for results. They will develop test execution plans including tracking and reporting results. Hours are unpredictable and may require nights/weekends.


Education and Typical Years Experience

The individual for this position must have knowledge in and use of industry recognized standard testing tools. They also need a strong background in SDLC to include multiple delivery models. They must have a proven track record of project delivery where time is critical. Experience leading teams through project phases to delivery is needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
10+ years QA experience
Medicaid experience
3 - 7 years Lead QA experience

Preferred:
Use of the Rational Toolset with past experience in a CMMI certified organization is a plus.
