Description
Robert Half IT Search is looking for a capable Tier II Software Support Analyst for our client in Raleigh, NC.

Job Description:
Perform product design, systems analysis and programming activities on applications software which may require some research. Applications utilize VB 6.0, Java, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, and MS Access.
Assist Tier I support team when dealing with complex bug and data related support issues. Utilize MS Access and SQL Server database utilities. Upgrade remote SQL Server installations.
Testing new software functionality prior to release.
Pre-loading/importing data from Excel, MS Access, and ASCII files. Also, involves mapping client data into the software and data validation when interfacing products to existing client systems. Work also includes developing client cost accounting and internal coding systems, performing data validation, configuring software security systems, and initializing data import procedures.

Experience/Skills
The highly skilled candidate must have:
  • Experience with Java, Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel.
  • Experience and expertise in working with existing software systems.
  • Excellent communications skills with an emphasis on phone skills.
  • Proven record of meeting deadlines and writing "bug free" code.
