We have an immediate need for 25+ Tivoli Monitoring Technical Support People ASAP in Dubuque, IA



JOB DESCRIPTION


Seeking Technical Support Specialists responsible for providing support for problem, change and work tickets for client server support operations surrounding the Tivoli Monitoring infrastructure. Incumbent assesses situation to determine problem facing the client. Problems are not routine or standardized and the creation of documentation explaining the solution to the problem is required. Responsible for implementing changes to the client???s environment. Experience in configuration, support and deployment of Tivoli (ITM, TEC, Framework) a must and desirable with other Systems Management products such as BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, Microsoft Operations Manager, and HP OpenView. Experience in TDW, ITMfDB and Database Administration. Experience covering at least one of the following service lines :

??? Intel , UNIX Sys Admin and Server Management

Must have strong Monitoring skills.

??? Database Management

??? Transaction Monitors, Middleware

??? Product Lifecycle Management

Responsibilities include:

??? Be responsible for the maintenance and currency of documentation specific to their role, and responsibilities

??? Adherence to Managed Operating Environment process and procedures,

??? Provide regular project/task status updates to the team, team lead and Manager as required.

Technical

??? Provide technical support to clients. Own and take action on requests for service, implementing changes and resolving assigned problems (may involve some after hours and weekend work).

??? Provide 24x7 after hours oncall support as required for products/services supported by the team

???Maintain detailed knowledge and currency of Tivoli and other Systems management product set functionality.

??? Assist Architects to research and solution new products and designs.

??? Provide Systems Management expertise to project teams.

??? Development and maintenance of systems management processes and procedures. Scripting and coding skills required.

??? Escalate product problems via official product support line (Tivoli Brand)

??? Highlight areas for improvement in current processes, and implement improvements.

??? Develop Relationships with all SSO Service Lines to ensure we meet contractual obligations.

??? Liaise with other Service Lines and account teams

??? Work with users of products supported by the Team to identify and, where appropriate, address deficiencies

Leadership

??? Attend and actively participate in weekly review meetings with the team leader and/or manager to discuss issues, concerns, people, ideas and workload.

Required

??? At least 1 years experience in at least one of the following operating systems: Intel server (Windows Server editions, Novell) or UNIX (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux)

??? At least 1years experience in SMI Products, ie: Tivoli/BMC

??? At least 1 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies

??? Basic knowledge in LEAN Methodologies

??? Basic knowledge in Maximo tool or other work and problem/change tools

Preferred

??? Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology

Certified in one or more SMI products, (preferably Tivoli)



English: Fluent
