The ideal candidate will have a passion for Technology and be willing to learn. Requires a passion for Programming & Software development. UNIX, Perl, etc is a plus. Any finance interest or education is also a big plus.

This team is responsible for supporting and maintaining a straight-through trade processing system , utilized by the Alternative & Quantitative Investment and Hedge Fund Administration groups of Global Asset Management. This role is for a first-line support Analyst for this group.

Responsibilities include:

First-line support of trading and back-office systems.

Risk assessment and prioritization of production problems.

Escalation of persistent or critical problems to development teams and senior management.

Proactive identification of risk areas.

Ad-hoc reports/extracts.

Software deployment/integration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills

Exceptional problem solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly-driven environment

UNIX and scripting experience (Perl, C Shell, and Bourne shell)

Relational database experience (Sybase/Oracle)

HTML/Web or Java skills desirable

Computer science or Finance related degree is preferred

Application support experience is a plus

The role requires an individual who is self-motivated, can thrive and multi-task in a fast-pace environment and can meet high customer expectations.

Starting salary from 40-50k+
