Description
Monitors production systems
Troubleshoots production problems and logs events in ticketing system
Creates, updates and critiques production support documentation as necessary
Promotes code updates to production
Escalates problems to development and notifies business
Provides guidance and training to junior team members
Participates in key production projects, performs user acceptance testing (UAT) testing and assists with developing implementation strategies
Partners with business, operations, development and QA teams on daily activities and with projects and testing initiatives
Provides 24x7, on-call support

Experience/Skills
Bachelor-s degree with technical focus preferred
4-6 years prior related financial industry experience
Strong knowledge of business process flows
Knowledge of UNIX and NT and ability to create and maintain system environments
Knowledge of shell, tcl (tool command language) and perl script composition
Knowledge of TCP/IP in enterprise environment
Able to work independently
