Genesis10 Consulting, has partnered with the nations leading healthcare provider and is seeking an experienced Healthcare Trainer for a 9 month contract in Manteca, CA. Overall scope of the project: Client is currently seeking a Sr. Trainer/ Instructional Designer to work in their Modesto Service Area, measuring the effectiveness of such plans. The manager is looking for a well rounded candidate that has training skills as well as the ability to learn new skills. This person will train on everything from MS Word to Epic as well as designing publications for other trainers and clients employees. Size of the Team: 2 IT Trainers for Service Area. IT Team of ~40. Work Site: Central Valley Trainers will be home based Kaiser Manteca Medical Center, for a period of time. In the Central Valley, the trainers will be associated to and train in specific training centers. Trainers supplement IT by supporting deployment of applications, projects as well as supports user communities as needed in the entire area. Must be willing to work in a variety of locations, including Tracy, Manteca, Stockton, and Modesto. Requirements:

Top 5 daily responsibilities: Position will provide quality training/educational services for all Kaiser Permanente clinicians/staff who use computer tools in their daily work Research/design/produce appropriate written instructor/student materials Provide software product classroom instructions Assess learning needs/develop training plans accordingly, measuring the effectiveness of such plans. Requirements: Knowledge of Kaiser applications is highly desired. This position requires a Bachelors degree (Masters Preferred) in education or instructional design 6-10 years of corporate/health care training experience 5+ years instructor/student material development experience Knowledge of adult learning theories/principles in a computer-training environment Familiarity with desktop publishing software - will be involved in producing publications Understanding of instructional design/development processes Instructional/technical writing skills Classroom facilitation abilities. Top 3-4 required soft-skills/personality characteristics: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Leadership capabilities Classroom facilitation abilities Position requires occasional weekend/evening support duties and travel throughout the Central Valley.
