Job Title:- UI Design Manager/Product Design ManagerJob Location:- Los Angeles, CAJob Description: **THIS JOB IS A FULL TIME POSITION, AND CORP TO CORP IS NOT OFFERED. COMPANY IS UNABLE TO SPONSOR AT THIS TIME.**The UI Design Manager will be responsible for the hands on leading of the full life cycle UI design of new software modules and enhancements of existing modules. This company is an Application Service Provider (ASP) and the UI Manager will become involved at the point of client sale. The UI Manager will be responsible for meeting with the new clients to gain an understanding of their specific UI design needs, creation of technical design specifications, utilizing UI formal standards, methodologies, heuristics, human factors and best practices to design the new UI architecture, product roadmaps, product strategy and design the interface layer. This includes defining the direction for information presentation of the software modules, navigation, defining guidelines and standards for user interface design and design task flows, detailed page schematics and wire frames, use cases, user interface design, reporting and error definitions, and data exchange file formats. The UI Manager will then hand off the design work to the web developers for completion of the development. However, the UI Manager will have responsibility for managing the project to completion, including establishing and maintaining project guidelines and timelines, coordination with software development and QA for implementation, status updates with clients and internal management and final delivery. This position consists of 50% Product Design Management and 50% UI technical design work.Please note that this is a UI Design Manager/Product Design Manager role and not that of a Graphic/Web Designer. Candidate will be hands-on, however only candidates with solid UI Architecture Design and Management experience will be considered.REQUIREMENTS:MUST HAVE experience with BOTH:Management of full life cycle UI Design projects (preferably client facing)ANDHands on experience with UI design (including defining the direction for information presentation of the software modules, navigation, defining guidelines and standards for user interface design and design task flows, detailed page schematics and wire frames, use cases, user interface design, reporting and error definitions, and data exchange file formats)Perfect communication skills; the candidate must be able to clearly express technical concepts and detailed software design and scenarios to a variety of audiences, technical and non-technical.
