UI Project Manager/Analyst
VistaRMS is currently in need of a talented Portal UI Project Manager/Analyst to manage the content management and overall design and maintenance of a Fortune 500 corporate intranet portal.

High level position description:
Project management and business analysis to include information architecture for business organizations joining or re-vamping a presence on a large enterprise corporate intranet portal.

Detailed responsibilities:
This position entails leadership & project management of content migration and UI design & build-out for intranet portal workspaces accessing a content management system. Working together with a client relationship manager in another business organization, this person will:

1) Guide the project core team in refining requirements gathered by the client relationship manager.
2) Provide a formal written response to requirements on behalf of IT.
3) Set or adhere to goals as appropriate.
4) Collaborate with IT architects to develop detailed design document to include wireframes.
5) Guide usability throughout the process relating to content categorization and labeling.
6) Continually educate business core team on internal formal process, understanding the portal and CMS to include terminology, and usability principles throughout project lifecycle.
7) Work with IT team to develop implementation guide.
8) Act as liaison between IT, business core team, and client relationship manager through production, testing and deployment.

There is a lot of ownership and autonomy in performing a wide variety of tasks. This environment provides a challenging and changing environment that requires the ability to learn quickly and adapt as needed. Excellent analysis, documentation and client interaction skills very important.

Required Technical Expertise & Design SkillsMust have experience with web design/development as a minimum.
Should have Content Management System (CMS) experience, including content migration experience. Experience working with Vignettes VCM a strong plus.
Experience designing for or using portal software highly desirable, especially understanding out of the box functionality and business requirements as they relate to out of the box functionality versus custom work. If candidate has strong Web skills, this can be negotiated.
Visual design, Visio skills, and HTML/Javascript development skills desirable.
Interface design experience is a plus.
Client Relationship & Communicational Skills
Should enjoy working with people, and building relationships.
Should enjoy serving clients and giving them excellent service and final product.
Ability to ask questions, and gather information via meetings, email, phone, etc.

Business Analyst QualificationsInformation Architecture & Analysis Skills
Should be able to assist clients in analyzing a large set of content, build taxonomy and assign content to categories.
Strong organizational and technical writing skills.
In depth skills with PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and other business software (MSWord, etc.).
Experience with User-centered design & testing (heuristic evaluations).
Knowledge of methodology and process for analyses and information architecture for small to large scale projects.

Leadership & Teamwork SkillsAbility to work with teams across different business functional areas (IT, client relationship manager, business client), cooperating and assisting others to achieve team goals.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of an aspect or area of the project, organize client meetings, complete deliverables.
Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment, and to seamlessly respond to a high degree of change.
Ability to communicate issues as they arise and negotiate a response with the appropriate team members.
Ability to learn very quickly, make one's own way, and ask questions to get the Ability to meet deadlines.
