Description
Developer required for continued design, development and configuration of the network operations telemetry portfolio with a focus on VoIP-related telemetry and systems. The position incumbent will also be responsible for completing technical specifications, project construction, and support for system, user, and integration testing.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Architect and implement network management solutions, including product evaluation, product testing, develop data gathering methods, develop data processing methods and develop advanced reporting solutions.

2. Work with internal customers to gather requirements and understand goals.

3. Organization and project management of solutions through the application life cycle.

4. Planning and implementing redundant, disaster recovery and high availability solutions for critical systems

5. Assist in the development, implementation and updates of operations standards for all network management solutions and processes.

6. Assist in the documentation of current and future systems.

7. Staying current with the VoIP community and current VoIP developments that Cox Communications may benefit from, including performance enhancements, new hardware technologies, fault tolerance and high availability technologies.

8. Capacity planning and hardware sizing

Experience/Skills
1. Strong UNIX skills, FreeBSD exp plus.
2. Strong DB-MySQL & Oracle.
3. Strong web development skills -HTTP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, & PHP & exp.w/ dynamic content solutions.
3. Distributed server environments.
4. Exp w/network management systems & protocols.
5.snmp, telnet, ssh, sftp, kerberos, ldap, stunnel, etc.
Exp in a carrier-class ISP environment
4 yrs web application development exp

Other desired skills:
