The Sr. UNIX Systems Administrator must be able to work independently or in team environment to resolve networking, server, or application issues. Learns new things quickly and is able to understand new skills, concepts, and technologies. Principle Accountabilities:Configure UNIX servers (Linux, Solaris, OS X) Configure, build and deploy applications and patches to these servers Monitor server resources such as CPU, IO, and Disk to anticipate growth needs Must have command of basic TCP/IP networking concepts Must have exposure to advanced TCP/IP networking concepts including VPN Troubleshoot networking issues on both Linux, Solaris and Mac OSX Basic Configuration of Cisco IOS products and firewall administration Setup and manage MacOSX Server administration Setup and manage SAN/NAS systems as well as backups Setup and manage Linux Server administration, particularly with Postfix, Clam and Spam Assassin Setup and manage VPNs, the Cisco VPN clientdf-tc

Experience/Skills
Experience and Qualification:Must have a minimum of 6-8 years system administration experience with 3 years on either Solaris, FreeBSD or OS X Comfort level installing and configuring apache, cron, nfs, bind, sendmail, et alÉ Experience architecting systems solutions that meet multiple stakeholder needs with minimal ongoing administration Experience implementing a single sign on solution a plus Comfort level with basic SQL database queries is a plus. Highly organized and deadline oriented. Tactical thinker with superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent project management skills and ability to reprioritize when needed. Superior written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management. Self-starter, motivated and able to multi-task. Able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles. Experience with on-line video delivery a plus
