Take your next step with an IT Recruitment who cares about its employees! Our client, an industry leader, is searching for a top-notch Unix Systems Administrator for their IT Corporate location. Should you possess the following experience and want to join a winning team, send your resume ASAP! This is a 6 month contract opportunity to start ASAP.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of UNIX systems administration and 24/7 support.
Performs os, s/w and database installations, upgrades, maintenance and support.
Responds to problem escalation, troubleshoots and resolves problems in a timely manner.
Performs performance tuning, provides technical analysis and makes recommendations.
Performs UNIX shell scripting.
Responsible for data integrity, systems backups and recovery. Participates in all phases of Disaster Recovery and ensures systems security.
Analyzes impact of proposed and current projects, performs capacity planning and provides performance metrics.
Supports all IT initiatives and projects; provides documentation as requested.

Experience/Skills
Minimum five years of expertise in:
Demonstrated strong technical background in all aspects of midrange hp-ux computing systems,commands, terminology, protocols.
Experience with Unix shell scripting.
Customer-focused, ability to multitask.
Ability to communicate and articulate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms with technical and non-technical customers.
Strong project and documentation skills.
