Description
Coordinates and directly supervises the operations and staff for developing and providing data, reports, and some analysis on the functional activities of the department. Maintains data using a variety of software applicable packages. Supervises the entering and retrieving of data so that general summaries or reports can be generated through the use of various software application packages.



The individual will also be responsible for the following:

1. Understand the reporting needs of the department, and through various software application packages, manages or develops standardized ways of providing the information to management for further use. Develops ways to continually track and report functional activities for management.

2. Provides narratives of tracked data. Analyzes and makes recommendations from summaries as required. Presents information through written reports or verbal presentations.

3. Works with other members of the department or business unit, to develop additional methods of tracking and reporting production activities. May work with other departments or business units in developing centralized methods of monitoring and tracking production activities.

4. Provides end-user support for employees having problems with operating their personal computers when required.

5. Ascertains automated methods of processing manual work with the use of various software application packages when assigned.

6. Manages the traffic operations for a customer service, credit, or collection center. Monitors the application of the traffic function to ascertain and ensure scheduling of employees. Adjusts traffic flow through the manipulation of telephone services based on volume between one or more sites. Ensures the achievement of maximum efficiency of productivity for the department.

7. May manage another function based on the needs of the business unit.

8. May function as the technical liaison between department or business unit and Technology Services.

9. Maintains state-of-the-art information on emerging trends in reporting production activities.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.df-tc


Experience/Skills
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of in-depth experience using software applications packages with two years in a group leader or first-line manager capacity. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or computer science preferred. This position requires: thorough knowledge of various personal computer software application packages; the ability to develop, maintain, and report production activity using software applications packages such as Word, Excel, Power Builder or Visual Basic, and Access; the ability to understand the importance of reporting data and determining reliable methods of reporting; above average communications and listening skills; and demonstrated experience in leading or supervising a group of support staff responsible for providing reports through the manipulation of data using a variety of software application packages.

Additionally, experience with the following systems / processes is preferred:
1. Concerto Dialer technology
2. Customer Care / Collections applications
3. Mainframe knowledge (CMS and CTA)
4. Phone / Voice applications
5. Project / Process improvement experience
