Description
Adecco Technical is recruiting for a Unix Administrator to work on AIX and Linux systems. This position requires the monitoring of day-to-day operation of the server software which includes maintaining system security, monitoring usage statistics and the logs, modifying configuration settings and backing up the system. This person will assist developers in troubleshooting application issues and critical software elements while maintaining operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance. The position also requires evaluating system specifications, processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility as well as updating scripts (Unix/Linux shell scripting) in current database applications to ensure programs are running efficiently.
