7+ years designing, implementing, and administering UNIX systems in production environments with strong focus on AIX, with OpenVMS & Windows administration

Work Description:

Installation, support and maintenance of AIX/ Linux/SUN servers
Troubleshooting all aspects of the AIX/Linux Operating Environment/Sun Solaris.
Lead support technical for Disaster Recovery Site
Manage filesystems, disk devices, AIX/Sun Volume Manager, Veritas Volume Manager
UNIX Scripting (SH, KSH, Perl)
Storage (EMC, NetApp and Sun Storage) SAN/NAS. SAN/Network Switches.
High availability systems. DR, HACMP, IP Multipathing, RHNeritas Cluster Server (or other High Availability software) setup and troubleshooting
Performance tuning, networking, system security/hardening, 10 monitoring and analysis.
System security (wrappers, SSH, sudo, logging, auditing, intrusion analysis)
Work with core Internet technologies: TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/SSL, Sendmail, Spam Control, Virus control/detection/inoculation.
Patch and package management, user and group management,
VPARs/jumpstart/kickStart installations. Rack mounting of servers, cable spanning,
System backups (Legato, Netbackup, Bakbone)
Creation of HowTo's, Metrics, Best Practices Guides, Project Plans, Purchase Orders.
7x24 on call computer room facilities and customer support
Data center \ computer room disaster recovery support management skills

AIX administration for SAP implementation (P570, P595 frames).
AIX clustering, HACMP, LPARs, VPARs, SAP landscapes
SAN/NAS, Clustering, Veritas
Linux/Solaris System Administration
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Legato (or similar) backups
Basic database knowledge (Oracle)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.df-tc
