Unix Administrator, you must be able to join Ajilon Consulting on a W2 basis, No H1B or subs. Must be able to interview in person and pass a criminal background check with no finidings.df-tc

Experience/Skills
8+ years experience on Redhat Linux on HP hardware, Solaris is optional.
Experience of supporting enterprise environment
Experience of providing 7x24 break-fix support.
Working knowledge of Disaster Recovery.
Understanding of SAN environment
Understanding of TCP/IP networking
Good troubleshooting skill and understanding of system performance/capacity
Clear communication skills
Working knowledge of Veritas Disk Volume Manager Suite and Veritas Clustering is a must.
Install and maintain the operating system and related software products. This includes performing required upgrades to ensure operating system compliance,monitoring capabilities and eliminating legacy infrastructure.
Regular System admin tasks involving users, file system maintenance, server trouble shooting, backup configuration, adding and deleting volumes (Veritas - VM), adding and configuring storage from OS perspective.
Write shell scripts to facilitate routine systems administration
Troubleshoot all hardware and OS issues and open calls with Sun and Redhat.Provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to customer for every incident.
Design tools and procedures to automate and enhance functionality of the installed system software and improve productivity within the group;
Strong technical, leadership, project management and communication skills with a proven ability to complete projects on time. Perform SLA negotiations. Conduct regular touch point meetings with End Users and clients. Liaise regularly with clients, DBA's, application support, Managed Storage etc to ensure seamless availability of services
