Our client in Tempe is seeking a HPUX ENGINEER:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Open position for a senior level HPUX administrator with experience working in a large, complex IT infrastructure(s). Ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
Provides technical support and consultation for operating systems and applications. Conducts and coordinates the analysis, planning, implementation, and upgrading of systems software and application software. Participates in Stress Testing and performs analysis of the results. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents operating systems and application components. Identifies and resolves complex systems problems. Monitors and gathers performance statistics to assist in determining hardware requirements and communication bandwidth to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. After hours, weekend work and On-call rotation is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Must possess 5+ years of HP UX experience
NPAR/VPAR experience in HPUX
Experience with HPUX swinstall commands
Logical Volume Manager LVM &VxVM
Proficient with HPUX - MP console
Excellent communication skills
3+ years of enterprise support experience with one or more of the following:
Solaris 8 or 10 (with zoning)
AIX 5.2 or higher
RedHat Linux 3 or higher

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Shell Scripting is a plus
HPUX Super Dome experience (PA-RISC & Integrity
Some working knowledge Oracle or DB2
Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss and other Middleware related applications
Experience with Remedy or other ticketing systems
